Introduction

In this guide, you will find information about quests and events that need to be completed on every character lvl 78 and above in order to access Hellbound. You will also find detailed instructions on how to complete every instance in the Isle of Prayer.

This is not a recipe book. It is only meant to guide you on your path to Hellbound.

Questline for access to Hellbound Island #1

Map: Location of KanisTo access Hellbound Island you will need to complete two quests : Bird in a Cage and That's Bloody Hot!, respectively. Both quests start on Kanis who can be found on the southern coast of the Isle of Prayer.

Race Event

Who needs this?
Emerald Square (Kill Darnel for Blue Crystal): A single member needs 3x Secret Key (ideally the dagger or buffer)

Race event begins on Rignos. Follow these steps which must completed within 30 minutes of you taking the event.

  1. Talk with Rignos to begin the race
  2. In any order you prefer, enter each one of the 4 IOP houses and kill the two Prison Guards standing to the left and right. Hit the Prison Guard at the end until you collect a Race Stamp
  3. Once you have collected all 4 Race Stamps from each house return to Rignos to receive 3 Secret Keys
  • 1x Race Stamp
  • 3x Secret Key

See the map for the suggested route for the IOP Houses if you do not have a summoner to pull you to each one of them. Once you’ve completed House 4, SOE to town and come back to Rignos from Alligator Island

Please note that only one person at a time on the whole server can run the Race event. If someone started the Race Event before you, you have to wait for the full 30 minutes before you can start.

Save Fafurion Kindred Event

Who needs this?
Coral Gardens (Kill Tears for Clear Crystal): 3 or more Water Dragon Scales per party member
Baylor (Kill Baylor to meet Parme): 3 or more Water Dragon Claws party member

Follow these steps to start and complete Save Fafurion Kindred event:

  1. Attack Dark Water Dragon. Several Shades will spawn and attack you, kill them and they will stop spawning. Now focus and kill the Dark Water Dragon. It Is very tanky and hits hard. Once the Dark Water Dragon is defeated, Fafurion Kindred and Water Dragon Detractors will spawn.
  2. Kill the Water Dragon Detractors and protect Fafurion Kindred for the next 5 minutes. The objective is to keep Fafurion Kindred alive; you can heal it with Spirit of the Lake that Water Dragon Detractors drop or have your party’s Cardinal heal it. Restore Life works best.
  3. After five minutes have elapsed, Fafurion Kindred disappears and will drop one, if not both, Water Dragon Claw and Water Dragon Scale.

There is no loot priority on seed of evil shards, Spirit of the Lake, Water Dragon Claws or Water Dragon Scales. The items dropped by Fafurion Kindred are not tradable!

Based on the access routes shown on the map, there are only 2 spots where other parties can only come from one direction, the area top left of Chromatic Highlands and the area between Route 3 and 4. For Crystal Caverns instances, I recommend at least 3 Water Dragon Claws and 3 Water Dragon Scales per character, but the more the merrier. Every character in party that wants to kill Baylor or Tears must have them. Since you have multiple Dark Water Dragons spread around Chromatic Highlands and must spend at least 5 minutes for each Save Fafurion Kindred event, you should have concurrent events occurring: for example, have the Spectral Dancer, Sword Muse and Doom Cryer focus on healing one Fafurion Kindred each, while the damage dealers protect the party and kill the Water Dragon Detractors.

Eva’s Gift Box

Who needs this?
Steam Corridor (Kill Kechi for Red Crystal): 3 Red Corals per party member
Coral Gardens (Kill Tears for Clear Crystal): 50 Crystal Fragments total between party members.

Those boxes are located in the water of the lake under Parnassus, the floating Island. You can hunt Eva’s Gift Box with Kiss of Eva buff or alternatively use Bless of Eva that you can buy in Heine’s grocery store. These boxes will randomly drop Red Coral and Crystal Fragment without loot priority. These items are tradable.

You can enter Crystal Caverns by talking with the Oracle Guide underneath Parnassus. Careful not to run out of breath or you will drown!

Instances

All instances must be completed within the time limit, some have reset time and a refresh time. Reset time is the time it takes for you to be able to reenter if you fail to complete the instance within the time limit whereas refresh time is the time you must wait since completing the instance to reenter.
