Requirements

  • 1 Contaminated Crystal from Dark Cloud Mansion
  • 3 Water Dragon Scales per party member from Save Fafurion Kindred event
  • 50 Crystal Fragments in total, from Eva's Gift Boxes
  • At least 10 Water Potions from NPC in town
  • Stocked up on shots, ores, potions, elixirs, recovery scrolls, resurrection scrolls, symbols, holy cups, etc.
  • 90 minutes of your undivided attention.

Intro

Coral Gardens is one of the 3 instances inside Crystal Caverns.

In order to complete the instance and reach the raid boss Tears, the party must have at least 50 Crystal Fragments.

To kill Raid Boss Tears, each party member must have at least 3 Water Dragon Scales, which cannot be traded.

The Contaminated Crystal will be consumed if you kill the instance Raid Boss. The Refresh Timer will begin when the Raid Boss dies. To reenter Crystal Caverns, repeat Dark Cloud Mansion and wait 24 hours.

Players who stay dead for more than 10 minutes or disconnect from the instance will be ported out. You can enter again and rejoin the party if they have not yet reached the Raid Boss room.

Farming instance monsters

If you only wish to kill monsters, you don’t need Crystal Fragments or Water Dragon Scales.
To reset the instance: skip the Raid Boss and leave the instance with a Scroll of Escape or Party Return and wait 20 minutes for the timer to reset. You can then enter the Crystal Caverns again.
Don't drown while you wait!

Entering Coral Gardens

You can access the Crystal Caverns through the Oracle Guide beneath Parnassus. In order to enter, you need at least two players in your party, and everyone must have a Contaminated Crystal. Once you click Touch the Sphere, the 90-minute timer starts, and you're teleported to the Preparation Room (Marked as Red Triangle on the map).

In the Preparation Room, speak with the Oracle Guide and select Coral Gardens. The door on the right-hand side will open.

Entering Coral Gardens

Coral Gardens Walkthrough

  1. Coral Garden MapOnce you enter Coral Gardens, go into the Main Garden, and start killing monsters. Some have high defense, high attack, and a lot of HP. Others have low defense but hit hard as well. All monsters are highly resistant to water attacks and behave socially. Sword Muse should tank while party members use sleep, root, paralyze, fear, and focus down monsters one by one, preferably the light armored ones in the beginning.
  2. Once the Main Garden is cleared, move on to the two Back Gardens and clear them of monsters.
  3. Once all monsters are dead, two Crystalline Golems will spawn on either side of the Main Garden. You have to move them into the Guard Houses opposite them. Drop Crystal Fragments one by one in front of the Crystalline Golem. Wait for it to pick them up before you drop another. If you drop them too far, it won't move. When you get it far enough inside the Guard House, it will emit a blue light.
  4. Two party members can split the Crystal Fragments and do both Crystalline Golems simultaneously to speed up the process. You can also buff the Golems with Wind Walk. Do not drop fragments all at once because you cannot pick them up again if the Crystalline Golem is moving to pick them up.

  5. Once both Crystalline Golems are inside their respective Guard Houses, the gate to Tear’s Room will open.

Raid Boss Tears

Tears is one of three raid bosses you will have to kill to be able to enter Baylor’s Lair. Your Contaminated Crystal will become a Clear Crystal when Tears dies and you will receive a Black or White Seed of Evil – Shard.

  1. Initial fight: Wait for the whole party to enter before you start the Raid Boss. The door will close once you start hitting Tears. It’s a very straightforward fight; Tears does not deal a lot of damage. It is highly resistant to water attacks. Tears casts an AOE immobilization debuff, so the Cardinal should stay away from the RB.
  2. Mirrors Tears will cast Mirror Image when it is at 80% HP, 60% HP, 40% HP, or 20% HP. A number or Mirror replicas of Tears will fill the room. The party needs to identify and focus on the real Tears, to make mirror images disappear.
  3. To identify real Tears quickly spread around the room. The party member who gets the aggression runs around the room and one member casts a buff or heal on him. True Tears will stop chasing and come to the buffer or healer first. Target the real Tears and focus fire.

  4. Celestial: When Tears is at 10% HP, it will cast Celestial Shield; all your attacks will give the "Your attack has been blocked" message. To remove it, all memebrs need to use Water Dragon Scale at the same time (within 3 seconds of the first person who first used the item). Once Tears shouts "No… You know my weakness…" celestial will disappear, and you can now finish the raid boss.
  5. Make sure you drag the Water Dragon Scale to your short cut bar and coordinate with everyone in your party (be careful with push-to-talk hotkeys) and make sure no one in the party is immobilized. These are costly mistakes; with 3 items per person you only have 3 chances. If anyone in the party runs out, it’s game over.

  6. An Oracle Guide: will appear where Tears has died. If every party member has 1 Red Crystal, 1 Clear Crystal and 1 Blue Crystal you can challenge Baylor.
  7. If anyone in party disconnects or stays dead for more than 10 minutes, they will get ported out and cannot reach Tears’ Room nor do they enter Baylor’s Lair if party leader selects that option. When Tears dies, they will not earn a Clear Crystal, nor will it consume a Contaminated Crystal.
