Introduction

Isle of Prayer (IOP) is an island off the eastern coast of Innadril.

Several open-world hunting zones are available on the island: a two-man area called Isle of Prayer (IOP) and a full-party area called Chromatic Highlands.

In the middle of the island, you'll also find Parnassus. The lake below it holds the access point to Crystal Caverns instance. Additionally, you can adventure through the Dark Cloud Mansion instance. These instances are covered in the Hellbound Access Guide.

All monsters in Isle of Prayers drop evil shards of various colors. Those items are not tradeable after being picked up, and could be used to obtain Dynasty recipes and key mats when trading with Blacksmith Lahm in Emerald Square

Access

There is no direct teleport to the island.
The quickest way to reach IOP is to teleport to Alligator Island from normal Heine Gatekeeper and swim east towards the island.

Isle of Prayer

The Isle of Prayer allows only two players per party - if you have more than two players, you will spawn a large number of powerful mobs with reflect damage.

This hunting ground can be divided into three distinct geographical areas with different mobs in each: bottom, mid and top. Monster levels increase as you move north.

This zone is ideal for small two player parties consisting of a damage dealer and a support. More people can be in a party if no one is actively attacking monsters – this way, you can share buffs, but you'll have to split into pairs when hunting monsters.

Most bottom and mid monsters drop yellow and green seed of evil shards whereas top drops mostly red seed of evil shards. Keep in mind they are not tradable, so it’s advisable to designate someone the duty of picking these up so you can eventually trade them in for recipes or keys. It should be a character at least level 78 that can access Crystal Caverns since black and white seed of evil shards can only be obtained by defeating Kechi, Darnel, Tears or Baylor. Since the quantity of shards is considerable for a trade, only recipes are reasonably achievable by this method. Shards do not have loot priority, so anyone can pick them up.

You can also drop some Fire Stones, Leonard and Orichalcum, albeit with a very small chance. Most importantly, you can drop two important Forgotten Scrolls for Sword Singers and Blade Dancers by hunting these mobs.

All monsters are aggressive and have water resistance, which means any kind of water attribute-based attack will be suboptimal to farm here. Furthermore, they give you a new debuff, Sickness, which causes your screen to shake violently like an earthquake- this is not healthy for long farm hours, so take plenty of rests or bring a Cardinal to cleanse you. Most monster attacks are water based, so you can use a water potion to minimize damage. These can be bought from Attribute Masters in Aden (near Blacksmith) or Rune (opposite Pet Manager).

Chromatic Highlands

Chromatic Highlands are a party farm zone located in northeast corner of the island. It can be accessed on foot through four different ways as shown on the map. It will be a highly contested spot early on, so keep your head on a swivel and pay attention to what’s happening with your party and around you. There are multiple area debuffs that will make your life miserable.

Most of the monsters in Chromatic Highlands can also be found on top spot, however there is a very tough monster which is important to farm to complete Crystal Caverns instances and access Hellbound Island: Dark Water Dragon. You must kill this monster to begin Save Fafurion Kindred event.

In Chromatic Highlands you can farm Fire Stones, Leonard and Orichalcum, as well as Red Seed of Evil - Shard. You can also farm Wind Stones, Earth Stones and Blue Seed of Evil - Shard by hunting down Dark Water Dragon, Shades and Water Dragon Detractors. Nonetheless you need a good group since the Dark Water Dragons are tough and hit hard, especially at the start with the Shades.

Parnassus

This area is only of interest to you if you're entering Crystal Caverns instances. You can learn more about it in the Access to Hellbound Guide.
